Emerl was created 4,000 years ago by the Fourth Great Civilization during a period of significant scientific advancement. He is known as a "Gizoid", which when translated directly from the ancient tongue means "everything". In his most basic form, Emerl struggles to merely sustain himself, but as he observes the abilities of his peers he is able to develop a prowess of his own. Because his capacity for growth was staggering, a sudden turn of events forced Sonic to unwillingly destroy the robot before he could annihilate all of Earth.
